a special time of joy,
it’s a time
of sadness.

Because the things that you and I think
are normal for Christmas,
are things theycan’t afford.

These people live
and work in the dump.

Most of these people
are uneducated,
or very poorly educated.
They have very little opportunity
to make a better life for themselves.
